Concrete Washout Bags

Self-supporting, leak-proof containment for concrete, mortar, stucco, and other wet construction waste.

Environmental Compliance on the Job Site

What Is a Concrete Washout Bag?

A concrete washout bag is a portable, self-supporting containment solution for wet construction waste. It holds the residual concrete, water, and slurry from mixer trucks, pumps, and tools that would otherwise drain onto the ground or into storm systems.

Concrete is classified as a hazardous waste due to its high alkalinity. At pH 12 to 13, concrete washwater kills aquatic life and contaminates soil and groundwater. Most jurisdictions require proper containment and disposal on permitted job sites. Failure to comply can result in fines or a site shutdown.

InterBULK washout bags require no external frame or support structure. They stand on their own, set up in under five seconds, and can be moved and emptied by a single operator. Compact enough to store in a mixer cab.

Product Features

Built for the Job Site

Every design detail on this bag comes from one requirement: contain wet, heavy, caustic waste reliably on a busy construction site without special equipment or extra hands.

Self-Supporting Design

The bag stands upright on its own. No external frame, cage, or structure required. Set it down, open it up, and it's ready. Setup takes under five seconds.

Integrated LLDPE Liner

The high-capacity liner is sewn directly into the bag — tabbed at all four bottom corners and stitched along the top perimeter. It stays in position during filling, transport, and disposal.

Leak-Proof Containment

The LLDPE liner prevents seepage of wet or dry waste through the outer woven fabric. No bunching, shifting, or tearing. The liner holds its position regardless of load.

Reinforced Lift Loops

Four corner lift loops, each 10 inches by 2 inches, are built for reliable machine handling. Rated to safely lift and move a full bag without loop failure.

Single-Operator Use

One person can fill, move, and empty the bag without additional equipment or assistance. Practical on sites where labor is limited and downtime is not an option.

Compact Storage

Flat-folds to a size that fits in a mixer cab or site storage box. Drivers can carry a spare on every run without giving up equipment space.

What Goes in the Bag

Suitable for All Wet Construction Waste

The washout bag handles any wet or semi-wet material generated during construction, finishing, or demolition work. It’s not limited to concrete. Any waste with alkaline, caustic, or contaminating properties belongs in a washout bag rather than on the ground.

Concrete

Residual mix, washwater, and slurry from mixer trucks and pumps.

Mortar

Leftover mortar from masonry, block, and brick work.

Stucco

Wet stucco waste and rinse water from exterior finishing work.

Drywall Mud

Joint compound and tape mud from interior drywall finishing.

Paint Waste

Brush and roller rinse water, equipment cleanup, and leftover paint.

Other Wet Waste

Any wet, alkaline, or chemically reactive construction material requiring contained disposal.

Compliance Note

Concrete washwater has a pH of 12 to 13. At that level it is classified as a hazardous waste in most jurisdictions. Discharging it to storm drains, ditches, or unprotected ground is a regulatory violation. Proper containment using an approved washout system is required on permitted job sites. Fines for non-compliance can be significant, and repeat violations can result in site closure.

Why LLDPE Liner

Linear Low-Density Polyethylene has higher puncture resistance and tensile strength than standard LDPE. It holds up to the abrasive particles in concrete washwater and maintains its integrity under the sustained weight of a full bag. The sewn-in attachment prevents the liner from shifting or collapsing during filling.
