Bulk Bag Design

Every bag is built to order. Choose your construction, top, and bottom to match your product and equipment.

Product Overview

Built for bulk material. Designed around your equipment.

Flexible Intermediate Bulk containers, known in the industry as bulk bags or FIBCs, are large fabric containers used to store and transport dry, flowable materials. They are made from 100% virgin woven polypropylene and hold between 100 and 4,500 pounds.

Compared to rigid drums or wooden pallets, bulk bags take up less space, weigh significantly less, and cost less per unit. They collapse flat when empty, which reduces return freight costs and storage footprint.

At InterBULK, every bag is built to your specification. We work with you to choose the right construction style, filling method, and discharge type for your product and your equipment.

InterBULK bulk bag, the right bag for every shipment

Why Bulk Bags

Flexible packaging for every application.

From light chemical bags to heavy minerals and aggregates, bulk bags cover the full range of dry material packaging needs.

Built to Your Spec

We specify every bag to your dimensions, loop type, fabric weight, liner, and coating. There is no standard bag we ask you to work around.

Wide Capacity Range

Our bags are rated from 100 to 4,500 pounds safe working load, covering light chemical bags through to heavy aggregate and mineral applications.

Liner Options

Form-fit and loose polypropylene or polyethylene liners are available for products that need moisture protection or are sensitive to contamination.

Food Grade Certified

BRC, GFSI, FDA, CFIA, Halal, and Kosher certifications are available. Full lot traceability comes standard on every order.

North American Warehouses

We hold inventory in warehouses across the United States and Canada. Most orders ship the same day or next day from our nearest location to you.

UN Certified Available

Hazardous material transport bags are available. All UN bags meet PHMSA and international transport regulations for dangerous goods.

Construction

Two styles. The right one depends on your product.

Both styles are available with any top and bottom panel combination. The choice between them comes down to your material, your budget, and your filling conditions.

Circular woven bulk bag construction

Seamless tube construction

Made on a circular loom, this style produces a seamless fabric tube with no vertical seams in the body of the bag. Fewer seams mean a lower risk of leakage, which makes it a good choice for fine or powdery products where containment is a priority.

Best for: fine powders, chemicals, food ingredients, pharmaceuticals.

Circular woven bulk bag construction

Cost-effective panel construction

A single U-shaped piece of fabric forms the base and two sides of the bag. Two additional panels complete the structure. U-panel bags are cost-effective, produce less material waste during manufacturing, and work well across a broad range of applications.

Best for: granular materials, agricultural products, minerals, construction products.

Top Panel

Four ways to fill your bag.

The right top panel depends on how your filling equipment loads material and how much control you need over dust and spillage during filling.

Spout top bulk bag

Spout Top

A narrow circular spout is sewn into the top panel. The bag fills through the spout, which ties off to seal the opening after loading. Good for controlled, dust-free filling.

Duffle top bulk bag

Duffle Top

A wide fabric collar extends above the top of the bag and folds down to tie off for closure. Used where wide access is needed during filling or when spout connections are not available.

Open top bulk bag

Open Top

No filling mechanism, just an open top panel. Simple and lower cost. Best for products loaded by conveyor, gravity feed, or wide-mouth spout where dust control is not a requirement.

Conical top bulk bag

Conical Top

A tapered funnel directs material to the center of the bag during filling. Works well for coarse materials that need to be centered to prevent uneven loading and bag distortion.

Bottom Panel

Four discharge options.

The bottom panel controls how material exits the bag. Your choice depends on your discharge equipment, your product’s flow characteristics, and whether you need controlled or full-open emptying.
Single closure spout bottom bulk bag

Spout Bottom

A fabric spout at the bottom center opens for controlled discharge. The spout ties off during filling and storage, then opens when the bag is ready to empty. The most common discharge option.

Double closure spout bottom bulk bag

Spout Bottom with Cover

The same as a standard spout bottom, with an outer fabric cover added for security. The cover prevents accidental opening and keeps the spout clean during transport and storage.

Plain flat bottom bulk bag

Plain / Flat Bottom

No discharge opening. Product is emptied by cutting or slitting the bag, or by tipping. Used for products that do not require controlled discharge or where the bag is single-use.
