Product Overview
Food and pharmaceutical packaging decisions are about more than price. They are about trust, compliance, and protecting your supply chain. Every bag we supply for food or pharmaceutical use is manufactured in BRCGS- and AIB-certified facilities operating under GMP, HACCP, and ISO 9001 standards.
Our manufacturing facilities use only FDA-approved lubricants on looms, sewing machines, and all related equipment. Every finished bag is ultrasonic cut, externally stitched with twisted PP yarn, vacuum-cleaned, and metal-detected before it is packed for shipment.
Used across flour, sugar, whey protein, rice, and pharmaceutical ingredients, our food-grade bags are built to hold up to the strictest audit requirements your customers can bring.
Contamination control is built into the process at every stage, not added at the end.
No recycled content. Every bag starts with 100% virgin polypropylene, ensuring consistent strength and eliminating contamination from reprocessed materials.
Every finished bag passes through a metal detector before packing. Any bag that fails is removed from the production run without exception.
All fabric is ultrasonically cut rather than blade-cut. This seals the fabric edge at the cut, eliminating loose fibres that could contaminate the product inside.
Every bag is inspected over a light table before it leaves the clean room. Holes, thin spots, and weave irregularities that are invisible under normal lighting are identified and rejected.
Each bag is vacuum and air-cleaned to remove any dust, fibres, or particulates before final packing. This step is performed in the clean room environment.
Our manufacturing partners operate under certified HACCP plans with documented critical control points at every stage of production, from raw material intake to final packed bag.
The Global Food Safety Initiative is a non-profit organization that sets the benchmark standard for food safety certification worldwide. It does not issue its own certifications. Instead, it recognizes third-party schemes that meet its requirements.
When your customer requires a GFSI-recognized certification, they are asking whether your packaging supplier has been audited against a rigorous, internationally accepted food safety standard. The answer, for InterBULK, is yes.
Major global food manufacturers and retailers that require GFSI-certified packaging suppliers:
British Retail Consortium Global Standard. Used by more than 29,000 suppliers in over 130 countries. One of the most widely recognized food safety certifications in the world.
Safe Quality Food Institute. A globally trusted program that covers both food safety and quality management under a single certification framework.
Food Safety System Certification. Integrates ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and ISO/TS 22002-1 into one comprehensive Food Safety Management System certification.
International Featured Standards. Established in 2003 to audit food manufacturers where contamination risk exists, ensuring transparency and safety across the full supply chain.
Why InterBULK
We have been supplying food and pharmaceutical grade bulk bags since 2002. The certifications and manufacturing standards on this page are not marketing language — they are requirements we verify before we source from any facility.

We hold food-grade bag inventory in warehouses across the United States and Canada. Most orders ship same day or next day from the location closest to you.
Every bag we supply is manufactured to your approved specification. We do not substitute materials or change construction without your sign-off first.
